  1. I love these recommendations. I have been a long time listener of the Biggerpockets podcast and love it.
I have read 2 of the 5 you recommend. I agree that these are a must read. If you are thinking of flipping make sure you read the book on estimating rehab costs! This is where most beginners under-estimate and end up with a bad deal.

Thanks for this list and thorough explanation of each book. Very helpful!

  2. Good list. I’m interested in reading the last one, the Book on Flipping Houses by J. Scott. It sounds like there is a lot of valuable information in it. Unfortunately, I don’t think his book on Estimating Rehab Costs will be too relevant for me as I don’t live in the USA. What do you think? However, it would still provide relevant information and I would be able to just add the local costs of products and services to come up with a budget. Buying with no money down is not something I am aware of, so I could also learn a lot from Brandon Turner. Many thanks for sharing, you have given me food for thought.

    1. As for estimating rehab costs, that might be challenging considering you’re out of the United States. Perhaps you could start the book on rehab costs in your country? Opportunity awaits!

  3. Amazing article. I once tried to get into real estate flipping and lost quite a bit. Had I had this information at the time, I would have saved myself a ton of headaches.
Thank you so much for posting this. I’m sure it will help a LOT of people.

    1. I hope it does. Real estate flipping is tricky and there are many factors at play which most people do not realize. It is easy to win and also easy to lose. That is why education is key!
